THE POWER TO CREATE

“ But there is a spirit in man and the breath (spirit) of the Almighty gives him understanding”. Job 32:8

Man is the only creature on earth that has been given the god ability to bring things to pass. He is the only being that has the power to reproduce himself not only physically or biologically, but he has the ability to desire, imagine, speak (confess) and pray.

This is what makes man unique from other creations of God. This ability puts man in the ‘god class', and clearly proves that man was born out of the Spirit of God Almighty.

We can then say that the first key to creating is to believe that there is a creative force within which is the real man. This is clear from the scriptures which says that divinity (God) said let us make man in our image and likeness. You are a creator with creativity as your birthright.

Before that we saw from scriptures that God demonstrated through the creative force or power (eternal Spirit) by speaking to a situation which was negative to create a desirable outcome. The invisible force in the creation process was the eternal Spirit; this is the force and power which resides in everyone that is a child of God.

It is truth and fact that the Spirit of God is the life giving force that started creation and the universe. This is evidence in the truth concerning every major development and achievement in science, technology and inventions. There are some well known references to some of the influences of development which was pioneered by men and women who where aligned with the supreme or eternal spirit of God. Michael Faraday, scientist and inventor was a Christian who believed in God's power and creative force. He was the father of electricity which revolutionised our existence today. The same goes to Albert Einstein on quantum physics and relativity. He was a Jewish scientist who studied and believed in the account of God's creation in the scriptures . He believed that energy is real even though it is invisible to the naked eye.

The second force in the creative process is the power of spoken words which is reinforced by faith, thought, joy, expectation and the (creative Spirit of God). For us as believers the foundation for the spoken word is the written word of God. The Lord showed us by example when He inaugurated Joshua as the leader of Israel by the ‘spoken word'. Joshua's assignment was clear:

“ ..... Be strong and of good courage; for you shall bring the children of Israel into the land of which I swore to them and I will be with you”. Deut 31:13 .

The Spirit of God re-emphasised this again clearly and specifically, by spelling out how Joshua was to accomplish the mountainous assignment ahead.

“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth , but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous and then you will have good success. Josh 1:8.

We are in a great house and family of God; let us not take for granted the Spirit of God that is within us and the word of life that we are constantly hearing. As we venture in this year of great exploits and lay the foundation for this decade, we need to brace ourselves, be strong and courageous in order to take delivery of that which our God has commanded and spoken. Go forth in His creative power and name and do great exploits.
