The last couple of months have been like a roller coaster in relation to my job.

This is the job, that I had prayed for with my Pastor and at the time God allowed me to have the job which helped me regain control of my life any my finances.

I have been in the job for two years; however trouble started in April when I was told that we are going to be taken over by a new company and we had to move offices. The office move went ok, but the paper work relating to the transfer was not completed in time. This meant that at one point there was so much confusion that the staff did not know even if we were going to be paid. April passed by, May went ok, and all of a sudden in June we were told that the company did not get enough funding and this meant that our hours were going to be reduced from 5 days a week to 3 days a week. This came as a shock to the system as I had no contingency plan. Also there was some major confusion going on with the management team which made the staff even more uncomfortable.

At this point I decided to look for other work. I knew that I wanted to work with lone parents and also do my training which I feel confident in. I had spoken to one of the Pastors at Gateway Chapel about the interview with Gingerbread and also I mentioned this in my Family Centre meeting. I was highly favoured and I was awarded a training contract with the company. At the same time a friend of mine gave my children and a I a free holiday in France. This was a blessing as this was our first ever family holiday. This holiday allowed me to seek God's face and his purpose for my life.

I decided that when I came back from holiday, I would resign from my job and pursue on developing my business. I did this, and I thank God that he has opened doors for me to have a number of contracts which I will start in October. I listened to one of the messages at my church, Gateway Chapel, and it has really helped me to focus on what I want, pray about it, prospect for clients, and visualise the end result. It is great to be in a home group because we can share things, support, listen and pray for each other.

Praise God
